A source of minitubers for heirloom and specialty potato varieties
If you’ve visited this blog before, you probably know that we maintain a large collection of heirloom and specialty potato varieties, many of which originate with the Seed Savers Exchange collection. If you’ve participated in on-farm field testing of these varieties, you might have found a new favorite – or you might have read about varieties that you’d like to try. As researchers and potato enthusiasts, we’d like you to be able to keep growing these heirloom and specialty varieties, and that means establishing a supply of seed potatoes.
Justin Bula is a certified seed potato grower with a focus on specialty potato varieties. He is equipped to produce minitubers for any of the varieties in our collection, and is offering to supply them to interested farmers at cost. All minitubers would be certified seed potatoes, inspected by the Wisconsin Seed Potato Certification Program.
